Kids - Prague 2 - Hardshoes

Hardshoes are Irish step dance shoes with taps — kids quickly fall in love with the rhythms, balance work, and the stage feel hardshoes bring. At DDM Prague 2 (Slezska), we open a Tuesday class for absolute beginners and improvers aged 5–18.

🟢 What to expect

• Intro to heavy jig, hornpipe, and the first traditional sets
• Technical drills for sound quality, posture, and footwork
• Creative games, group choreography, and the option to perform with TJ Academy of Irish Dance
• Individual pace — kids progress at their own speed
• Fees and registration are handled by DDM Prague 2 (see link above)

Each class follows a clear structure while still giving kids space to explore, improvise, and enjoy movement.

Certified instructor-led training

Classes are led by an experienced instructor with the international T.C.R.G. certification, combining professional guidance with a gentle approach to children.

Cultural overlap

We show children that Irish dance belongs to a broader culture. We celebrate Irish holidays and get to know Irish traditions together.

Performance opportunities

Kids can perform at cultural events and selected competitions, building healthy confidence and joy in teamwork.
